Iglesia Ni Cristo - What does Catholics and Protestants say

Iglesia Ni Cristo is a CULT
The INC magazine Pasugo always try to convince their members that the whole world admire Iglesia Ni Cristo. (Pasugo is being sold to INC members on a regular basis. For INC members to be updated with their church' news, activities and teachings, INC members have to buy PASUGO). Different publications are being used by INC fanatics to stop their members from leaving their disintegrating membership. We can never see any press release by the INC administration about their "true" total membership recently neither any news about massive number of new members.

Iglesia Ni Cristo endorses Joseph ERAP Estrada

Iglesia Ni Cristo is a Cult.
Joseph ERAP Estrada is a convicted plunderer.

What is the tie that binds INC and ERAP? EDSA 3.

The report of the reputable PCIJ (Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism) about the Iglesia Ni Cristo Church at the Crossroads is quite revealing and damaging to the INC cult. The report is about how involved the INC was with the violent EDSA 3 and the INC' "closeness" to ERAP. As the report stated...

Iglesia Ni Cristo endorses Noynoy Aquino for President

Does the yellow color of Noynoy Aquino will mix well with INC's 3 color? (Green, White and Red)

Noynoy Aquino is the consistent leader in any survey before the election. Why would INC ignore that? Naturally, INC will pick the one who will surely win. INC Executive Minister Eduardo V. Manalo is basically new to this kind of stuffs since he just took over the Manalo family business since Erano Manalo died last year(2009). As the new INC leader he should first establish his political status and go to the sure-winner. INC do not have the luxury to bet on a political loser like Manny Villar, Gilbert Teodoro and ERAP Estrada. Iglesia Ni Cristo previously endorsed ERAP Estrada as their president in the 1998 Philippine presidential election but INC dropped ERAP like a hot potato when Estrada was convicted of plunder.

Iglesia Ni Cristo and Lea Salonga's Journey

Lea Salonga is an Iglesia Ni Cristo member? No.
It will be a cold day in hell when that happens.
Lea Salonga is a smart world-class Filipina entertainer.
She would not do such a thing, a crazy thing like joining INC.

(Iglesia Ni Cristo did not revealed how much they paid Lea Salonga for her appearance in their 95th Anniversary)

Iglesia Ni Cristo Arlyn Dela Cruz is an INC member

I was really surprised when I have read Arlyn Dela Cruz' report that Iglesia Ni Cristo's total voter membership is at around 8 million [INC claim based on the 2007 national and local elections.]. As far as I know, Arlyn Dela Cruz is an Iglesia Ni Cristo member. Yes, I think she is the one who was kidnapped in Basilan some few years ago. Being an INC member, it is quite understandable that INC members like Arlyn Dela Cruz would use an OVERESTIMATED total number of INC voting members (8 million INC voters is the INC claim.)

Religious bloc-voting in the Philippines

El Shaddai's Mike Velade, Kingdom of Jesus Christ Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and INC minister Eduardo Manalo's decision on whom they are going to pick as the next Philippine president are being sought-after by politicians here in the Philippines. These 3 cult leaders are well known for giving an "alleged" substantial number of votes to the lucky politicians. Based on the recent report from businessmirror.com.ph, Quiboloy's followers are 6 million while INC's followers are only 3 million.

This is why I hate religious bloc-voting here in the Philippines. Politicians are falling on their knees in front of these "Church leaders" begging for their votes. It's a good thing that the Catholic Church here in Philippines does not dictates it's members to whom should they vote unlike Quiboloy and the Manalo family. In INC, members who are not following the INC' dictatorship in voting politicians would mean expulsion to their disobedient members.

Iglesia Ni Cristo member tops PMA graduates

Air Force First Class Cadet Eraño Bontilao Belen (left) and Cadet First Class Froilan Pinay-an, who top the Philippine Military Academy Class of 2010.

Well, this is a scary news.

Political Dynasty in The Philippines

The 1987 Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines:
Article 2 - Declaration of Principles and State Policies, Section 26:
The State shall guarantee equal access to opportunities for public service, and prohibit political dynasties as may be defined by law.
prohibit = disallow = forbid

The problem is, the framers of the 1987 Philippine Constitution failed to define the law to implement the prohibition of political dynasty. They left-out the construction of the enabling law on how to implement the prohibition of political dynasty. It means they entrusted the task of making the law about political dynasty in the Congress. Philippine Congress passing a law prohibiting political dynasty? You must be dreaming. You should not expect the 'wise men' of the congress to shoot their own foot and hoofs.

Iglesia Ni Cristo Eraño G. Manalo Special Stamps

Iglesia Ni Cristo cult has been very sensitive when the name of a member of Manalo family is at stake. They glorify the Manalo family too much that they would not even consider other people leading their church; their leader should always come from the Manalo family (this topic was already discussed in the Religious Dynasty page on this blog). The Iglesia Ni Cristo cult consider their founder as an angel, Felix Manalo is an ex-catholic. They even erected a bronze statue for their beloved leader to commemorate the life and death of their leader Felix Manalo.
