Iglesia Ni Cristo member tops PMA graduates

Air Force First Class Cadet Eraño Bontilao Belen (left) and Cadet First Class Froilan Pinay-an, who top the Philippine Military Academy Class of 2010.

Well, this is a scary news.

With the Iglesia Ni Cristo's violent credibility, we can only hope that Philippine Military Academy (PMA) will continually be professional with their mission on protecting the national interest of the Filipino people. I mean, don't you find it's scary that an INC member is graduating from a military school?

Low-class INC members rallied and died against the Philippine constitutional government. They tried to unseat a president in EDSA 3. Report from PCIJ said that there's an intelligence info that INC central in Diliman, Quezon City might have it's armory. Soldiers died when they tried to enter the INC central compund during the Marcos regime. INC police or in military service are also scary and dangerous.

Church at the Crossroads [PCIJ]

The INC has always resisted any attempts to encroach into its physical space. Military intelligence sources say that the Iglesia has 1,000 to 2,000 high-caliber firearms in its armory, apart from guns owned by individual members who include soldiers and policemen.

In September 1972, INC members shot at and killed three Marine soldiers who were part of a contingent sent by Marcos to shut down the church's DZEC radio tower.

Personally, I am glad that a poor kid from the southern Philippines graduated from PMA. He initially tried to be a minister of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC). As far as I know, New Era University owned by Iglesia Ni Cristo is quite an expensive school. Poor kids will not be able to finish the evangelical course without spending a lot of money. (This is how cruel the INC business are, they want money even form their poor members) This might be the reason why the poor kid opted to enroll the Philippine Military Academy instead. What just scares me is how he might be commanded do such things that the INC ministers instructed him to do. If the low-class INC members were able to terrorize Manila during EDSA 3 siege, imagine what the INC members are capable of doing if they are in police and/or military service.

Philippines is facing a very brave New World. That is the problem when a cult like Iglesia Ni Cristo messed up with politics and businesses. Their own cult interests are over than the interest of the greater Filipino People.

One of the reason why I am quite concerned with Iglesia Ni Cristo members are in police/military service is that on the report of PCIJ (Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism), when Panfilo Lacson was still a senior police officer (before becoming a senator), he have to ask the permission of the INC headquarters before he can "fire" the controversial police Col. Romeo Maganto, an INC member. Imagine that, a high ranking police officer is asking for permission from INC before he can "fire" a police INC member?

IGLESIA NI CRISTO: A Most Powerful Union

Sen. Panfilo Lacson, a non-Iglesia, knows this lesson well. Some years ago, as a senior police officer, Lacson faced a dilemma over what to do with controversial police Col. Romeo Maganto, a kapatid. "Lacson had to go to the central (INC headquarters in Quezon City) to secure permission to fire Maganto," the member recalled. "The permission was given."

Another most recent report about an INC member in police/military uniform is about a certain SPO1 Avelino Balingit Jr. of the Apalit police force who arrested a tricycle driver inside his house without any warrant of arrest. On the way to the police precinct, the poor tricycle driver was beaten up by (alleged) INC mob. The altercation started during the fiesta celebration of the feast of "Juan Bautista" when the poor tricycle driver doused water on an INC minister, as part of the catholic tradition.

This kind of news makes me think what kind of teachings that the Iglesia Ni Cristo cult teaches to its members? Cruelty? Brutality? Where is the "Christian" love they are trying to convince us with? People are shying away from religions or cults because of these kind of behaviors being displayed by these "religious" members.

If the Iglesia Ni Cristo members do not believe the tradition of splashing waters (John The Baptist feasts), at least I hope they should RESPECT it. Iglesia Ni Crristo members are lucky enough because Catholics are not brutal as them. It's a good thing that the Catholic members are more civilized than the INC members who beat up the poor defenseless tricycle driver.

How come that a police officer (allegedly an INC member) arrested the poor tricycle driver without a warrant of arrest? I thought INC members are law-abiding citizens? I thought INC members are God fearing Christians? I thought INC members promotes life, justice, equality, fairness, charity and high standards of morals, ethics and values based on the bible? And now this? INC members cruelty and brutality to Catholic member who celebrated Saint John The Baptist feast?

Whew? Now who would like to join Iglesia Ni Cristo now?

[Inquirer]

Merrymaking in the village of San Juan, Apalit, Pampanga turned violent when a Catholic fiesta celebrator doused water on an Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) minister.

The incident took place during the feast of St. John the Baptist when local folks douse water on passersby in the streets.

Joel Banag, 31, a tricycle driver, splashed water on a purported Iglesia minister whom he didn't recognize.

The INC preacher allegedly punched Banag, who punched him back.

They were pacified and Banag went home.

But the incident didn't end there. A group of alleged INC members, who were armed, went to Banag's house and asked him to come out.

Banag didn't come out, fearing retaliation.

At this point, SPO1 Avelino Balingit Jr. of the Apalit police force, an alleged INC member, barged into Banag's house and arrested him without a warrant.

While Banag was being marched to the police precinct, the INC mob allegedly beat him to a pulp.

He arrived at the station bloodied and half naked as his shirt was allegedly torn by the mob.

  1. If there are cases of abuse being done by few members of the INC, we never tolerate them but we punish them instead through expulsion. we surely act against any inhuman treatments. Unlike the INQUISITION and the sexual abuse of the priests that until now they are trying the hell of their best to cover it up.I'm sure writing this blog comments to villify the INC would mean a lot of money from your sponsors, isn't it?^^

  2. INC members and pastor murdered PUP students inside the INC chapel

@melvin - Yes Iglesia Ni Cristo expels 'some' of their members but eventually they will accept it again after the issue cooled off. Tell me, does the INC members who killed PUP students inside INC chapel got expelled? Iglesia Ni Cristo have also numerous sex crimes hidden on their closets. Even Felix Manalo was accused of rape. So please, stop pretending you know nothing about the atrocities inside the cult of Iglesia Ni Cristo.

  3. @mouth4war....research about the rape case filed against BRO. FELIX MANALO....you know nothing....ROSITA TRILLANES died not just as a member of the church but also a church officer(deaconess)...the rape accusation is a fabricated story and resulted in the expulsion from the church of Rosita Trillanes...but for your information MOUTH4WAR...she returned to the church and became a deaconess...and held that position until she died....dont act like a moron...coz i know youre better than that...

    1. Compare Rosita Trillanes's compaint with Lesie wolf's letter and what do they tell you about your guru? "A MAN OF LOW MORAL". Felix Manalo bribed Rosita with a high position so she could recant.

    2. Afaik, the wealthy Felix Manalo moved heaven and hell to ensure Rosita's retraction. But we all know that the incident happened. It is on record and reached the Supreme Court. Also, I read somewhere that INC is moving heaven and hell to get that record erased because it stands out like a sore thumb about their cult?

  4. bravo to the INC top PMA graduate/s!!! Glory be to God.

but the content of this piece is as ignorant as the author. I can say only the title has a merit of truthfullness.

Some of the early Christians even at the time of Christ do wrongful acts, but that would not mean you could accuse every one of all of those early christians to have done the same wrongful act just because of the wrongful acts of some/others. IGNORANT ANALYSIS! If you insist that is the case, well then you can accuse each and every groups/religions as a whole including the group where you belong to be "brutal and cruel". AGAIN IGNORANT THINKING!

would you care mentioning the INC martyrs as well? e.g. since 1914, world war II and up to the present, there are lots of INC martyrs you don't know about. e.g. would you care informing other people about the INC victims of Marcos martial law as well? start with that same evening when Marcos' soldiers wanted to barge through the INC central compound, do u remember now whose blood shed first in that sad fateful night? or u'r just so picky on ur "blog (kablag!)" reporting.

reading your hearsay piece is a waste of time (but thanks for the title anyway). ciao.

    1. @jeffrey. were your unholy "martyrs" being fed to the lions? Were they being burnt at the stake? were they being tortured in any unimaginable ways for the sake of their believe that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh? NO TO ALL THE ABOVE. So sad your so called martyrs died in vain. There's no memory of any of them. Sad. Sad.

  5. oh by the way...before i forget...this is the last paragraph that you have obviously deliberately omitted (see how you're so deceitful?!!!) in copy/pasting the INQUIRER news about that "san juan bautista" incident:
    ___________________

.....He arrived at the station bloodied and half naked as his shirt was allegedly torn by the mob.

If INC Bishop Erano “Ka Erdie” Manalo reads this, I’m sure he’ll be fuming mad over the abusive members.
    __________________

(so even the responsible reporter of this news knows the real quality of Christian discipline inside INC as he knows how would Ka Erdie and the whole church would react to this isolated incident).

note to the blogger...please just be truthful no more, no less.

  6. Iglesia Ni Cristo members continue to infest Government appointments and positions. INC member LTO chief wa asked to take a leave because of graft charges. INC leadership showed full support for Arroyo and their pet Ombudsman Gutierrez on her impeachment case.

Shame on Iglesia Ni Cristo for intervening Philippine political affairs.

Shame on INC members for allowing their church to be used for political reasons.

I hope these INC members who graduated in PMA will not die for political reasons just like the INC members who died in the violent anti-government protest during EDSA3.

INC members tried to attack the Malacanang palace to unseat a president.

Shame on INC members who joined EDSA3.
