Here are some points that needs to be highlighted...
- One member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo told CNN that followers are being encouraged to join the pro-Estrada demonstrations.
- Another INC member told ASIAWeek that ..."There was a [church] circular ordering us to go to EDSA. ...When an emcee told us to go [to the presidential palace], we went."
- 3 of 4 protesters that have died in the violent protest are members of Iglesia Ni Cristo, many of the 113 people injured were INC members, as reported by Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ)
- INC media arms net 25 and DZEC, a radio station owned by the Eagle Broadcasting Corporation provided almost a round-the-clock coverage of the EDSA III. notably, other media groups (e.g. ABS-CBN 2 and GMA7) were not welcomed by the protesters to cover the protest.
